Lazarus Kyraphia (Sister Krissy Fiction) is a gay man, a Gnostic, a Witch, a devotee of Antinous, and a drag clown nun living in the hippy haven of Portland, Oregon.

His varied background includes education and work as a minister in a conservative Christian denomination, initiation into an Alexandrian Wiccan coven with which he is still active, and initiation into the Antinoian mysteries through the Ekklesia Antinoou.  His alter ego is Sister Krissy Fiction, a fully professed Sister of Perpetual Indulgence and Prioress of the Order of Benevolent Bliss in Portland.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Staff Ministry and has done graduate coursework towards a Masters of Applied Theology.

This blog contains his writings and musing on the spiritual life, queer spirituality, his devotion to the god Antinous, Occultism,  thoughts on politics and humor, observations on modern Neopaganism and the Craft, Gnosticism and Esoteric Christianity, promulgating universal joy and expiating stigmatic guilt, being a queer nun, and whatever else tickles his fancy (he is quite ticklish).

Sit down, buckle up, and hold on!

“What makes us free is the gnosis
of who we were,
of what we have become;
of where we were,
of wherein we have been cast;
of whereto we speed,
of wherefrom we are redeemed;
of what birth truly is,
and of what rebirth truly is.”

  2. I’m trolling the net drumming up interest for my novel in progress, The Acts of Simon Magus, and you looked like someone who may find it of interest. It’s an epic historical fantasy from the point of view of the Gnostic sorcerer who was Christianity’s greatest enemy, examining the events and characters responsible for the rise of Christianity and its consequences for the world. It has been an exhilarating trip trying to get inside the mind of people from that time, so different from and so alike ourselves, with an eye to providing a unique perspective on modern issues such as abortion ( http://simonmagus.com/readings/derdekea-trouble ) and same-sex passion and repression ( http://simonmagus.com/readings/unorthodox-jew/ I’d appreciate your opinion as a gay man on this part). Here is a draft for my upcoming Indiegogo campaign, including video and link to some readings. All comments and suggestions welcome!
